Q: How do I tell what iPod I have?
A: If your iPod plugs in to charge via a cable at the TOP, you have a 1st or 2nd generation iPod. If your iPod plugs in via a DOCK CONNECTOR at the bottom, you have a 3rd generation iPod and this battery will work fine.

Please Note that you will need to open your ipod to install this battery. We do not offer any technical support or tools require on installing the battery, but instructions can be found on other websites. We warranty only the battery.

In order to receive the maximum usage time on this battery, please charge the battery for at least 8 hours before 1si use.
